POAS VOLCANO COMBO TOUR

This excursion starts by passing through Alajuela City, the second largest city in Costa Rica and the cradle of our national hero, Juan Santamaría, also known as the city of nicknames and the city of mangoes. Once we leave the city, you will see the contrast between the busy city life and the tranquility of the rural life, dedicated to agriculture, mainly to the coffee plantation, although as we ascend you will see ferns, flowers, strawberries, and dairy farms.

Then we will arrive at the centennial Doka Estate Coffee Plantation, where we will have a typical Costa Rican breakfast and then we will start our coffee tour, where we will learn about the ancient techniques used by the experts to produce some of the best coffee in Costa Rica and around the world. The careful process involved in the cultivation, harvesting, and roasting of the golden bean will then be illustrated, very hands-on, and then we will savor the delicious end product.

After the coffee tour, we will continue on our way to the Poás Volcano, where we will not only admire the impressive main crater and trails but also learn about the different ecosystems in this unique and protected national park. Then you will visit La Paz waterfall, which has 3 amazing waterfalls and a zoo.

(3) A client must cancel at least 48 hours in advance if they wish to cancel. Any reservation made less than 48 hours in advance must be canceled at least 8 hours in advance. (4) In the case of a cancellation by the tour operator, a refund will be offered to participating guests. (5) Selina is not responsible for any property or items lost during the tour. (6) For some tours / transportation / rental equipment, clients are required to sign a waiver at the Selina property.
